7TH HVS SKILLED WORKERS COMPETITION

On the morning of August 17, at the Training Center of HD Hyundai Vietnam Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. (HVS), the opening ceremony of the 7th HVS Skilled Workers Competition was successfully held.

Mr. Kim Song Hag - President of HVS attended the ceremony –, BOD, G, Mgrs and representatives of the HVS's Trade Union. On the side of Khanh Hoa province were representatives of the Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs Dep’t (KH DOLISA) and representatives of the Ninh Hoa Vocational College.

The competition is a place for workers to demonstrate their skills, continuously learn, and at the same time encourage the spirit of working and competing in production. This year's competition has 48 contestants, competing in 5 categories: Shell welding (10 contestants), pipe welding (10 contestants), shell assembly (8 contestants), pipe assembly (10 contestants), and painting (10 contestants).

Immediately after the opening ceremony, the contestants began the theory test, followed by the practice test, the test time ended at 17:00 on the same day.

At the end of the competition, the Organizing Committee will award 5 first prizes (each prize worth 5 million VND, a certificate from the KH DOLISA and a 5-day trip to Thailand); 5-second prizes (3 million VND/prize, a certificate and a 3-day domestic trip); 5 third prizes (2 million VND/prize, a certificate and a 3-day domestic trip).
