MEETING CONFERNCE WITH SUBCONTRACTORS OF HD HYUNDAI MIPO (KOREA)

On the afternoon of February 27, the conference to meet with subcontractors of HD Hyundai Mipo Company (Korea) took place in Nha Trang City with the participation of more than 60 supporting industry enterprises from Korea.

Through the Conference, representatives of departments and branches of Khanh Hoa introduced to Korean businesses the potential and strengths of Khanh Hoa province; orientation for attracting investment of the province in general, orientation for the development of Van Phong Economic Zone in particular; investment policies and financial services, investment support from banks.

Over the past time, foreign investors and corporations have constantly invested and expanded projects in Khanh Hoa, contributing to the socio-economic development of Khanh Hoa province. Typically, the project of HVS in Van Phong Economic Zone, which is one of the largest shipbuilding factories in Vietnam and Southeast Asia, is capable of building new ships with a tonnage of up to 110,000 DWT, creating jobs for more than 5,000 workers and promoting supporting industries for the shipbuilding industry develop accordingly.

Mr. Nguyen Tan Tuan - Chairman of Khanh Hoa People's Committee affirmed that HVS is a model for the success of Korean enterprises investing in Khanh Hoa. In the coming time, provincial leaders will urgently conditions for businesses to continue to extend investment for another 20 years in Khanh Hoa. At the same time, the province also supports businesses in expanding factories.

Mr. Kim Hyung Kwan - President of HD Hyundai Mipo Company said that HVS (a subsidiary of HD Hyundai Mipo Company) has been headquartered for nearly 30 years in Van Phong Economic Zone. To get the results like today is thanks to the active cooperation and continuous investment of Khanh Hoa. HVS is growing, building trust from ship owners around the world through ensuring the quality and progress of ship delivery. "It is hoped that the Conference to meet with subcontractors of HD Hyundai Mipo Company will be an opportunity to further strengthen the cooperative relationship of economic development and mutual trust between Vietnam and Korea; Korean businesses have also found reliable partners to cooperate and invest in Khanh Hoa," Mr. Kim Hyung Kwan emphasized.
