INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION ON SHIPBUILDING TECHNOLOGY AND OFFSHORE CONSTRUCTION

The 10th International Exhibition on Shipbuilding Technology and Offshore Works (Vietship 2025), co-organized by the Shipbuilding Industry Corporation (SBIC) and Vietnam Shipbuilding Engineering Joint Stock Company (VISEC), took place from March 5 to 7, at the National Convention Center (Hanoi).

This is an event focusing on the shipbuilding industry and a place where enterprises, shipbuilding units and units managing and trading the shipbuilding and maritime ecosystem converge. All in order to a large regular playground, helping businesses and partners have the opportunity to meet and seek opportunities for cooperation in the development of Vietnam's shipbuilding industry.

Coming to the exhibition, HD Hyundai Vietnam Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. (HVS) introduced the first project in the series of production expansion plans, which is environmentally friendly shipbuilding with Windwings (sail-shaped equipment).

Accordingly, from March 2024, HVS and Union Maritime Company (UK) have reached a final agreement on the contract to build two 115,000DWT tankers running on LNG (liquefied natural gas or liquefied natural gas). In each ship, two more Windwing devices will be installed to help take advantage of wind energy.

Solutions such as the use of renewable energy, environmentally friendly materials, emission reduction, and energy-efficient design not only help protect the environment, but also bring many economic and social benefits. The application of these technologies and solutions will help the shipbuilding industry continue to grow strongly and sustainably in the future. That is the biggest goal in the company's long-term development plan.
