THE 8th HVS SKILLFUL WORKER CONTEST IN 2025

HONORING THE GOLDEN HANDS – SPREADING PROFESSIONAL PRIDE

On the morning of October 10, HD Hyundai Vietnam Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. (HVS) solemnly held the closing ceremony and award presentation for “The 8th HVS Skillful Worker Contest in 2025,” marking the conclusion of a journey filled with effort, creativity, and dedication from contestants across various workshops and production departments.

The ceremony honored the presence of Mr. Nguyễn Thành Sơn – Deputy Director of the Khanh Hoa Home Affairs Dept, BOD of HVS, and a large number of HVS officers and employees.

Kicking off with the preliminary round on August 15, this year’s contest attracted 86 outstanding contestants from multiple departments. After intense, competitive performances, 44 exemplary participants advanced to the final round on September 19.

The finalists competed in five categories: Hull Welding (10 contestants), Hull Fitting (10 contestants), Outfitting Welding (7 contestants), Outfitting Fitting (9 contestants), and Painting (8 contestants). Each competition was not only a test of technical skills but also a demonstration of discipline, teamwork, and creativity in every technical detail.

Final results: 15 excellent contestants received awards this year:

•    05 First Prizes, each including 5,000,000 VND, a commemorative trophy, a certificate of merit from the Khanh Hoa Home Affairs Dept, and an international trip.

•    05 Second Prizes, each including 3,000,000 VND, a commemorative trophy, a certificate of merit, and a domestic trip.

•    05 Third Prizes, each including 2,000,000 VND, a commemorative trophy, a certificate of merit, and a domestic trip.

All award-winning contestants expressed their joy and pride as their efforts, training, and contributions were recognized. They shared that the contest serves as a strong motivation to continue striving - not only for themselves and their families, but also for the development of HVS and the nation.
