KOREAN LANGUAGE AND CULTURE FESTIVAL (HANGUL DAY)

The academic spirit and cultural exchange at the University of the Pacific were more vibrant than ever during the annual “Korean Speech Contest and Korean Word Festival (Hangul Day)”, held on October 23, 2025. HD Hyundai Vietnam Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. (HVS) continued its role as a strategic sponsor, reaffirming its strong commitment to supporting Korean language education and promoting Korean culture in Vietnam.

This year’s contest attracted 90 registered participants. Following a series of intense qualifying rounds, six outstanding contestants advanced to the final stage, where they delivered passionate, well-prepared speeches. As the main sponsor, HVS provided meaningful support to ensure the success of the event and enhance the value of the awards:

HVS contributed 10,000,000 VND to support the organization of the Hangul Festival, enabling the Organizing Committee to conduct cultural activities, games, and event logistics effectively.

In addition, HVS sponsored a 5,000,000 VND prize for the first-place winner, offering strong motivation for students to strive for excellence and demonstrate their talents.

HVS’s contributions are a clear reflection of its corporate social responsibility, particularly in the development of high-quality human resources and the promotion of international cultural exchange.

The success of Hangul Day once again affirms the University of the Pacific’s leading position in Korean language education, as well as the strong collaboration between the university and major enterprises. The event concluded in an atmosphere of excitement and inspiration, promising a bright future for Korean Studies students and further strengthening the long-term and sustainable partnership between HVS and the university’s Faculty of Languages & Culture.
