SHIPBUILDING EVENTS – FEBRUARY 2026

On the morning of February 4, HD Hyundai Vietnam Shipbuilding Co., Ltd (HVS) successfully held the Naming ceremony for three product chemical tankers - Hull numbers S566, S567, and S568.

The ceremony took place in a solemn atmosphere, marking a significant milestone in the cooperation between HD Hyundai Vietnam and Transpetrol shipowner. This was a special event, as it was the first time Transpetrol organized a simultaneous naming ceremony for three vessels, demonstrating its strong confidence in and high appreciation of HD Hyundai Vietnam’s shipbuilding capabilities and product quality.

These vessels belong to a series of three 115,000 DWT product chemical tankers, new shipbuilding compliance with international technical and safety standards, meeting the stringent requirements of the Belgian shipowner. The completion and naming of the vessels not only affirm HD Hyundai Vietnam’s construction and project management capabilities but also contribute to enhancing HVS’s reputation in the international shipbuilding market.

In addition, on February 6, HVS also held a naming ceremony for the 50,000 DWT product chemical tanker S558. This vessel is the 11th ship in a series of 23 ordered by a Japanese shipowner. The successful naming ceremony lays a crucial foundation for the project's subsequent phases, while also paving the way for further opportunities for sustainable cooperation between HD Hyundai Vietnam and its partners in the future.
