THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY'S COMMITTEE ON LAW & JUSTICE VISIT TO HVS

On June 17, 2026 a working delegation from the National Assembly's Committee for Law and Justice, together with representatives of the Ministry of Construction and relevant agencies, led by Mr. Nguyễn Trường Giang, Vice Chairman of the Committee for Law and Justice, and Mr. Nguyễn Xuân Sang, Vice Minister of Construction, conducted a working visit to HVS.

The working visit was conducted to support the Committee’s review of the draft revised Vietnam Maritime and Inland Waterways Code, while also assessing existing challenges and bottlenecks in the legal and policy framework governing the shipbuilding and logistics sector.

        In addition, the delegation paid particular attention to the development of a highly skilled workforce for the shipbuilding industry, Vietnam’s current capacity to meet the sector’s labor demand, and the process of technology transfer from the parent company to its Vietnamese operations.

     For HVS, the working session provided an opportunity to present recommendations to the relevant authorities on addressing operational challenges and obstacles, while proposing measures to further improve the legal and regulatory framework governing the maritime sector. Such attention and support are expected to help foster a more enabling legal environment, allowing businesses to maintain stable operations, expand investment, and achieve sustainable growth.
