To minimize the use of nix during the process of cleaning steel surface before painting, HVS have bought 4 hydro jet washing machines with pressure of 1,400 Bar (COMPO PUMP 501 “G200 – 20KET). Each machine is equipped with 2 high pressure washing guns which can clean 4~8 square meters of steel surface per hour. So we can clean 512 ~ 1,024 m2 of steel surface per day, and reduce 612~1,250 tons of nix consumption quantity per month.

We can use this technology to clean surface of ship hull, deck floor, outer bottom of cargo holds… without producing any dust. This is an effort of HVS to reduce bad impact on the environment due to steel surface cleaning activity.
