DEPUTY MINISTER NGUYEN XUAN SANG WORKED WITH HVS

On the afternoon of April 25, Deputy Minister Nguyen Xuan Sang (Ministry of Construction) met with HD Hyundai Vietnam Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. (HVS).

HVS’s investors: SBIC, HMD, HDKSOE, and representatives of the Departments of Khanh Hoa province also attended the meeting.

At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Sang listened to representatives of investors presenting the production and business situation of HVS, a brief report on the long-term plan of HD Hyundai Group and the HVS joint venture.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Xuan Sang highly appreciated the great contributions that the joint venture has brought to Khanh Hoa province in particular and Vietnam in general. HVS is not only a testament to the good relationship between Vietnam and Korea, but also makes a strong contribution to the development of Vietnam's shipbuilding industry.

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Sang is very hopeful about HVS's contribution to Vietnam's shipbuilding industry in the coming time and said that this is also a testament to the good friendship between Vietnam and Korea.

In the context of globalization and supply chain shifting, the strong cooperation between Vietnamese and Korean enterprises such as HVS and SBIC (which is a joint venture partner accounting for 30%) is the foundation to bring Vietnam's shipbuilding industry further, approach international standards, and at the same time contribute to promoting technology transfer.  Training high-quality human resources and improving added value in the offshore shipbuilding industry production.

Taking the opportunity to meet this precious meeting, Mr. Lee Kang Ho, Vice President of HMD, on behalf of the HVS joint venture, presented the new generation environmentally friendly ship model to MOC. This is an environmentally friendly LNG ship model, a symbol of the transformation and strong development of the current shipbuilding technology of HD Hyundai Group in general and HVS in particular.
